TOUR ROUTE – Haridwar-Barkot-Yamunotri-Uttarkashi-Gangotari-Phata-Kedarnath-Badrinath-Rudarprayg-Rishikesh

First stop – Yamunotri

We’ll begin our Chardham Yatra by Road in Yamunotri, the source of the Yamuna River! It stands 3,293 meters tall and is the westernmost shrine on our itinerary. The trip here will get your heart beating, with twisting paths and gorgeous plants all around. You will notice the beauty of nature right away!

Sightseeing in Yamunotri
  • Yamunotri Temple: Dedicated to the Goddess Yamuna, this temple is surrounded by natural hot springs. It’s a tranquil setting ideal for meditation and prayer.
  • Surya Kund: A hot spring nearby is used by devotees to prepare offerings. People think that dipping here cleans the soul.

Next destination – Gangotri

After Yamunotri, we travel to Gangotri, another significant stop on the Chardham Yatra by Road. It is well-known for its breathtaking vistas and spiritual significance, despite a height of 3,415 meters. The trek along the sacred river provides breathtaking views of the Himalayas.

Sightseeing in Gangotri
  • Gangotri Temple: A beautiful temple dedicated to Goddess Ganga, where you may witness the captivating Ganga Aarti in the evening.
  • Bhagirath Shila: This sacred rock is where King Bhagirath meditated before bringing the Ganga to Earth.
  • Ganges Glacier: The Ganges River originates in Gangotri. A hike here will get you closer to knowing how this river began!

Continue on to Kedarnath

The next stop is Kedarnath, Chardham Yatra by Road is Kedarnath, one of twelve Jyotirlingas devoted to Lord Shiva! Standing at 3,583 meters, it is the highest of the Chardham temples. To reach there from Gaurikund, you must climb 16 kilometers—but believe me, it is completely worth it!

Sightseeing in Kedarnath

Kedarnath Temple: An old temple situated atop the majestic Kedarnath Peak, this is definitely a spiritually significant and scenic location.

Bhairav Temple: Situated on a hilltop near Kedarnath, this temple offers a wonderful perspective of the Kedarnath Valley!
